This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for private online Italian lessons with Rossana Pazzaglia (my-italian-teacher.ch) and for my online courses.

Private lessons
Free trial lesson
The 30-minute trial lesson is free of charge and without commitment. Please cancel it in advance if you cannot attend, so that the time can be offered to someone else.
Payment
Lessons and lesson packages are booked and paid in advance through the online booking system (SimplyBook.me). Prices are in Swiss francs (CHF).
Cancelling or rescheduling a lesson
- You can cancel or reschedule a lesson free of charge up to 60 minutes before the scheduled start time, directly in the booking system or by email.
- If you cancel less than 60 minutes before the lesson, or if you do not attend, the lesson is charged in full and is not refunded.
- If you join late, the lesson ends at the scheduled time.
If I cancel
If I have to cancel a lesson, you can choose between rescheduling it free of charge or receiving a full refund for that lesson.
Technical problems
If a lesson cannot take place because of a technical problem on my side, it is rescheduled free of charge. Problems with your own internet connection or device are not a reason for a refund, but please let me know as soon as possible so we can look for a solution.
Lesson packages
- Packages of 5, 10 or 20 lessons are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
- Lessons not used within this period expire.
- Packages are personal and cannot be transferred to another person.
- Unused lessons are not refundable, except if I stop offering lessons: in that case unused lessons are refunded.
Online courses
Courses on Udemy
Courses purchased on Udemy are sold by Udemy. Refunds are handled by Udemy according to Udemy’s refund policy.
Courses on PayHip
Courses and materials purchased through PayHip are digital content that you can access immediately after purchase. By completing the purchase, you agree that access starts immediately, and you acknowledge that for this reason no right of withdrawal applies once the content has been made available, where the law allows this. If you cannot access a course because of a technical problem that cannot be solved, please contact me and I will refund the purchase.
How to request a refund
Write to italianlangandcultacademy@gmail.com within 14 days, with your name, the date of the lesson or purchase and the reason for your request. Approved refunds are paid back with the original payment method; depending on the payment provider, this may take 5 to 10 working days.
Nothing in this policy limits any rights you may have under mandatory consumer protection law.
